New Beginnings

People often find more happiness in the journey toward their goal rather than the result itself.

Throughout life, we experience countless beginnings, processes, and endings. Some things never even properly started, while others ended after long efforts without achieving the desired results. Yet, there are some things that are still in progress.

In the midst of these processes, I happened to hear a phrase that changed my perspective on life.

"I can only be truly happy with who I am today if I’m excited about who I will be in 10 years"

Taking this to heart, I embarked on a new challenge, having crossed the halfway point of my life.

I don’t have a great desire to achieve something in a short time.Instead, I find happiness in being able to focus on something in the present, in healing through that process, and in the small hope and goal of achieving something by the end of it.

To me, a flower cake is a precious future that brings happiness to the present.

Flower piping is an art that demands intense focus, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the process. It offers a moment to clear my cluttered mind and restore a sense of peace.

Not only creating beautiful flower shapes, but also choosing the color of the cake, mixing the buttercream to match that color, and arranging the flowers thoughtfully—this process stimulates my inner creativity and fulfills a part of my creative longing.

However, making a flower and completing a cake is far more time-consuming and labor-intensive than one might expect. Even so, I find that when I give a gift, the people who receive a flower cake seem to appreciate it with a joy and gratitude that I rarely see with any other gift. Their bright smiles and the joyful energy that fills the air bring warmth and happiness to the giver’s heart as well.

Now, I want to share this happiness with others, so I’ve taken on the new challenge of starting a blog. As I shared my journey of self-teaching flower cakes online, many people asked questions about self-learning. While some questions are hard to answer in a single sentence, I now want to share small tips through the blog.

I hope this post will be helpful to someone and that the joy of sharing it will be felt by all.

The meaning of the tulip is "new beginnings."

Is there anyone who would like to dream of a new beginning with me?
